What’s next

Friday, October 22nd, 2010

Now that the weather is finally turning cooler and the leaves are starting to fall, I feel like “cleaning house” to get ready for the fast approaching holiday season. But before I start organizing the studio, I need to tell you about a few things…

First, a new fabric page will be launching on the website soon… Just in time for all you DIY fans to get busy with gifts for yourself or someone else this year. Second, I’ll be gearing up for two shows this winter; the Renegade Craft Fair in Chicago, December 4th+5th, and the American Craft Council retail show in Baltimore, February 24th-27th.

I also wanted to update the blog with a few new images from this summer. Cincinnati Magazine ran a section this summer called “locals only”. The Daisy flower pillow in natural linen was featured in the Necessities section.

Also, a year or so ago I printed three custom prints for a playroom in Florida for interior designer, Lauren Stern. Her website was updated earlier this summer and the images are just amazing!

Lastly, I had to include a photo from my vacation this summer. My husband and I celebrated our one year anniversary by traveling to Italy and France for two weeks this September. Here we we are in Chamonix, France, standing on a platform reachable only by cable car at 12,000+ feet near Mont Blanc. That was quite some ride… straight up!

Happy Fall Everyone!

Custom project for children’s playroom

Sunday, November 15th, 2009

I just finished a project for Lauren Stern Design out of Brooklyn, NY. Lauren, an interior designer, contacted me about creating three large wall prints for a playroom in a residence in Fisher Island, FL. She chose the artwork, color and layout for all three pieces. I made a few suggestions and revised the layout slightly. Fortunately for me, Lauren understood the aesthetic of my work so it was easy to land on a final design for all three prints. Each piece is 30″ x 40″ in size. The prints were professionally framed as well.

These three prints are part of a remodel and redesign of a 10,000 sq ft residence on Fisher Island off the coast of South Beach Miami.  Lauren describes the style as uber-lux modern with a hint of beach. She is also working on a gut renovation of a NYC 4-bedroom west village duplex penthouse, as well as a 6-person engineer office in Bergen County.

Special request

Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

I’ve had a few requests lately to print white ink on the graphite linen instead of the black ink. I think it looks really nice so I wanted to put it out there for other people to see. I am always open to special requests… all you have to do is ask!

I just recently posted this image, along with a a few others on flickr. Check them out!
