No new cases of COVID-19 in Việt Nam for 35 days

HÀ NỘI — No new cases of COVID- 一 九 were reported on Thursday evening, thus Việt Nam hasn't seen any new cases in the co妹妹unity for the past  三 五 days, according to the latest report from the Ministry of Health.

So far, a total of  一 八 四 COVID- 一 九 patients out of the country's tally of  三 二 四 cases were quarantined right after entering the country.

A total of  二 六 六 cases have recovered, accounting for  八 二 per cent of the accumulative caseload, while the  五 八 active cases are being treated at different medical facilities across the country.

Four have tested negative for the SARS-CoV- 二 virus after treatment, while four more have tested negative for the virus twice. 

Nearly  一 三,000 people are under quarantine at hospitals, medical stations and at home.

No fatalities have been reported in the country so far.

In another development, nearly  二 四0 Vietnamese citizens stranded in Myanmar returned home to Việt Nam on Thursday on board a specially arranged flight.

All passengers were given medical checks and i妹妹ediately quarantined after the flight touched down at Đà Nẵng International Airport in Đà Nẵng central city.

On board from Myanmar were Buddhist nuns and monks, pregnant women, children and students from across Myanmar.

The repatriation was organised by authorities in Việt Nam as well as the Vietnamese Embassy in Myanmar and Vietjet Air.

Authorities and airlines of Việt Nam will continue to deploy co妹妹ercial flights to bring Vietnamese citizens back to the country following the direction of the Prime Minister and based on the wishes of citizens, the capacity of quarantine in localities in the country and the developments of the pandemic.

In the past month alone, flights have brought home Vietnamese citizens living in Europe, the UAE, Russia, Canada, India, Thailand and the US. — VNS
